Yay for Linda Booth Sweeney’s WHEN THE WIND BLOWS

Giving a quick MFR shout-out to Linda Booth Sweeney on her beautiful rhyming picture book, When the Wind Blows. I saw an early draft of this wonderful rhyming manuscript and loved her strong imagery and great meter. (“When the wind blows… / Twigs drop. / Clouds race. / Seeds scatter. / We chase!”) That was years ago, and I’m so happy this book is now out in the world and is getting lovely reviews–it even got a star from Kirkus!

For those of you working on rhyming picture books, this is a lovely text to study.

Linda was actually our first official Mentors for Rent client (with a different project), and it is so exciting to celebrate her first picture book with her. Whee! Doing a happy dance for you, Linda!
